Spillers Happy Hoof - benefits of use

low in non-structural carbohydrates and starch
a blend of feed straw, alfalfa, grasses, mint and garlic with added vitamins (including B vitamins) and minerals
requires thorough chewing and extends feeding time (chopped chaff)
SPILLERS HAPPY HOOF® can form the basis of the diet or replace other feeds (including grains and oats)

Reducing the intake of high-protein forage (particularly risky in spring and autumn on rich pastures) and avoiding diets based primarily on cereals are key to reducing the risk of laminitis.
Where laminitis occurs or there is a risk of it, provide a diet high in fibre and low in carbohydrates and sugars, while supplying all the vitamins and minerals the body needs.

Ingredients: nutritionally enhanced straw, wheat, straw chaff, alfalfa, molasses, rice bran, oats, calcium carbonate, grass pellets, rapeseed oil, vitamin and mineral premix, calcined magnesite, garlic (0.2%), lysine, salt.
