Spillers Senior Conditioning Mix has been developed for senior horses requiring extra support to build and maintain postural muscle function (including back muscles), health and wellbeing. It contains easily digestible calories: steamed cereal flakes, soya and rapeseed oil benefit condition and provide highly digestible fibre, while live yeast cultures support normal digestive function.
A healthy musculoskeletal system is particularly important for active senior horses, so the mix is enriched with glucosamine and MSM with vitamin C, as well as a full range of vitamins and minerals needed for normal body function. With age-related declines in metabolism and immunity in mind, the feed is enriched with chelated minerals for better intestinal absorption and antioxidants to help the body fight bacteria and viruses.
Spillers Senior Conditioning Mix is easy to chew for horses with dental problems and highly palatable for fussy feeders. Low levels of simple sugars and starch make it safe for horses prone to laminitis and metabolic conditions such as Cushing's syndrome.
