Low starch and sugar levels and the absence of molasses make it ideal for horses with gastric ulcers and laminitis. Its appetising apple flavour appeals to even the fussiest horses. The mash is ready to feed just 2 minutes after adding water.

The manufacturer's example daily amounts refer to dry product weight before soaking. For horses and ponies in light work, the mash replaces compound feed; provide forage ad lib. Divide the 11.5 kg ration for a horse unable to eat hay, grass or short chopped fibre into at least 4 meals.

Important tip: Preparation: add 1.5 parts water to 1 part dry mash, measured by volume. Soak for 2 minutes or until the water is fully absorbed. Check the consistency before feeding; add water or extend soaking if needed. Natural raw material variation may affect soaking time; warm, but not boiling, water may help.
In hot weather, feed immediately after soaking and do not prepare in advance because soaked feeds can ferment.
