Apple cider vinegar is a well-known traditional dietary addition for horses and people. It is a rich, neutral source of potassium, phosphorus, sodium, calcium, iron and other minerals.
Feeding cider vinegar may stimulate appetite, has an alkalising action and may deter flies and other insects such as horseflies, while improving the horse's overall health and coat condition.
